In the vietnam war the troops were quite bored so they had to find a way of entertaining themselves. These ways included live performances by singers, dancers and comedians.

One of the people who entertained the men was a girl called little pattie. At the age of 17, she entertained troops during the Vietnam War. Performing in Nui Dat, Vietnam, Pattie was heard by soldiers before they embarked on the Battle of Long Tan
Another entertainer was Col Joye. he perfromed for the soliders. he also had his own band called the joye boys. he performed for the soliders of headquarters australian force vietnam. He was famous for the time as he brough enjoyment to people.

Many well-known groups and stars went to Vietnam to entertain the troops, including Johnny O'Keefe, Col Joye and Little Pattie. And on the other side of the issue, there were many pop and rock groups directly involved in the anti-war effort, performing at concerts, rallies and other events, assisting with efforts like fund-raising for the legal defence of conscientious objectors and the the operation of various activist groups. In 1969 Ronnie Burns had a #1 hit with a Johnny Young song, Smiley, a song inspired by the drafting of Normie Rowe, which took the boy hero of the classic Australian films of the 50s and sent him to fight in "the Asian War".
Australian troops in Vietnam stomped, whistled and cheered for more than two hours when they took time out from operations to attend the ninth concert party in 18 months sent to South East Asia by the Australian Forces. The troops showed their appreciation for dancer Brenda Bell accompanied by the Cardell Duo. The concert party also included master of ceremonies, Johnny Holmes. The visiting entertainers gave three shows for the troops in jungle bases of Vietnam(Guerilla Warfare). The Australian professionals were supported by digger entertainers of 6 RAR including the 6 RAR jazz band. Highlight of the night was a take off-skit of the old Jimmy Sharman touring boxing troup with Private Reg Tye of Wagga, NSW as the "professional" throwing down the glove. After six months of jungle patrolling and clashes with the Vietcong, a chance to see a pretty Australian face and figure, a chance to laugh at Australian comedy and sing Australian songs, gave the troops a brief but genuine feeling that home was not so far away.

In 1968 the war touched the Australian music industry directly and very publicly. Normie Rowe, then our biggest solo pop star, was drafted, inducted into the Army and sent to serve in Vietnam. Every step of his service was meticulously recorded and published. It is now widely believed -- not least by Normie himself -- that his call-up was deliberately "rigged" in an attempt to bolster waning public support for the war effort.

Firstly, with reference to the criteria, your page is highly 'attention-grabbing', and the heading and font background it quite attractive.
Your information, however, seems to be quite ill researched and only focuses on the performances, rather than the effect it had upon the troops, and how it effected the greater scale of the war.
The video you included was completely and utterly irrelevant, althought it was good that you were able to include one in your wiki.
Some of the text is hard to read because it is cut off at the bottom, and you may want to edit that.
The references included was also fairly ill presented.

so like u dont hav links like us, which is a bit disappointing, but we did the same so its ok, except u say u dont like the red writing? well ur colour scheme, im sorry no offence but it makes me throw up a bit in the back of my mouth. anyway apart from that the pictures are good adn well placed but not much info to go with it... anyway good video. well done we would giv u 85% i guess too.

We were extraordinarily impressed with your work on "Entertaing the Troops". It was soft on the eyes and hard on the extensive information that was covered in the wiki. The title at first captured our attention and imaginations and we thought it was an excellent idea to create it on the internet, I'm sure it took a lot of effort. The idea of coloured text was astounding and tickled my fancy, however parts of the information had been cut off making it hard to read, yet with careful study it was easier to deceive. It was catchy and we felt a sense of enjoyment and fulfilment from gazing at the above information and stop motion photos. There were a lot of pretty pictures, mmmmmmmmm yes, quite.
The information was easy to understand and got right to the point, however, again, it did not fulfill my wildest fantasies in the art of extreme vocabulary, it was, as the french say 'le premirers' (quite dull), we expected more from you Pickford, and as for you Fowell great work, you really showed us the light.
The structure was above par and puttingt on the 18th green sitting at 3 under. We enjoyed the spaces between paragraphs, but the paragraphs were quite the small. But no biggie.
Unfortunately the video you had displayed was inapprpriate and dirty, yet quite pleasurable and relevant to the title ("Entertaing the Troops").
Ther were only two links, you suck, and to be honest they were not that great.
Overall a solid performance, yet there is a lot of room for improvement.

hey
this is amelia and saurey and we are concerned on many different levels, you have done something to our text so it is all squished and we cant fix it. we want it much more spaced out so can you change it?
the layout is hard to read etc
